Courses are designed to meet the requirements of the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 and AS 3745 – 2010

Meets the requirements of the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 for general evacuation and first response evacuation instruction.

This course delivers the knowledge and skills to participants to prepare occupants to calmly deal with fire related emergencies and how to follow site specific building evacuation procedures and instruction.
>Warden identification and the role of an emergency control organisation.
>How to identify and respond to an emergency or hazard;
>Your role on how to prevent a potential emergency;
>How to raise a alarm or warning.
>Training on the identification and use of fire extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reals;
>Understand emergency evacuation diagrams and plans;
>How to respond to alarms and follow emergency response procedures;

This course is tailored to deliver the knowledge and skills to childcare or school student on how to to calmly follow instruction and evacuate in a emergency.
>Understand why it’s important to follow instruction in an emergency situation;
>Types of emergencies;
>How to identify and respond to an emergency or hazard;
>Raising an alarm or warning;
>Evacuation routes;
>Evacuation assembly points;
>Stop, drop and roll;
>How to evacuate and what to do at assembly points;
>Participate in an emergency evacuation drill;
